Bao Ha

My name is Bao Ha, I'm a Chemical Engineering major at Rochester Institute of Technology but art is my hobby.

I'm a developing artist, most comfortable when working with charcoal and oil painting, and I love sketching with my pen. My style is mostly detail oriented. However, I have taken things out of my comfort zone and try something else. Doing art is one of the many things that help me relax. Everyday, I routinely go to classes and sports, and I am usually stressed out by the amount of work and effort that I have to put in in order to do well. But when I step into Art class, I forget all about those stressful thoughts and start appreciating the relaxed feelings that doing art gives me. Sometimes people are my inspiration, sometimes nature and beautiful scenery, and sometimes other artwork by other artists. I often use art as a means of escape. Art teaches me that I should not spend all my time worrying about school, but also to stop for a moment and enjoy the different ways of self expression.
